Chula Seafood began with a boat and a mission: bring the highest-quality, responsibly sourced seafood from the Southern California coast directly to the people. Our original vessel, the FV CHULA, helped us launch that mission — fishing primarily for premium Pacific swordfish using sustainable, deep-set buoy gear methods.
But our story has always been bigger than one boat. It’s about a commitment to the local fishing community, the docks of Point Loma, and the trust between fishermen and fishmongers.
Today, we continue that mission as the only commercial seafood processor on the water at Fisherman’s Wharf in Point Loma, CA — offloading, handling, and distributing some of the best fish in the world, from California halibut to bluefin tuna, black cod, swordfish, and beyond.
